PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing device equipped with a quick return mirror mechanism capable of operating at high speed while cutting back on power consumption with a simple and inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: An image capturing device includes: a lead screw which rotates integrally with a motor; a moving member which is engaged with the lead screw and is capable of making linear movement in association with rotation of the lead screw; an image sensor which captures an image formed by incident light from an imaging optical system; a mirror which is engaged with the moving member and is swingable between a first position located within an optical path from the imaging optical system to the image sensor and a second position located outside the optical path in association with the linear movement of the moving member; a first mirror positioning member which positions the mirror in the first position; a second mirror positioning member for positioning the mirror in the second position; and a forcing member which does not exert force onto the mirror when the mirror is moving and exerts force on the mirror against the first mirror positioning member when the mirror is in the first position. |
