The present invention allows a crane to smoothly travel on traveling rails with rail discontinuities such as intersections where rails mutually intersect. A rail crane comprises one or a plurality of traveling bogies with two-wheeled trolleys at each corner and runs on straight rails laid on a traveling path, wherein the rail crane is characterized by comprising a means for passing through rail discontinuities allowing the trolleys to travel normally through the rail discontinuities, in which small sections of the rail are removed locally and are absent from the rail. The means for passing through rail discontinuities is characterized in that one or a plurality of auxiliary rollers or TIR tanks are rigidly mounted between, or in front of and behind, the two trolleys of the traveling bogies at a height such that the tread thereof maintains a slight vertical gap with the traveling rail tread on which the trolley contacts or with the upper face of the plane of the projection next to the rail before and after the absent rail. |
