PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OLT inspection apparatus and an OLT inspection method capable of easily recognizing normality of the OLT to be a switching destination before changing the OLT when the accommodation of the OLT is changed.SOLUTION: The OLT inspection method includes: connecting a communication monitor and an ONU which is not registered in the OLT to an optical coupler arranged in an optical fiber transmission line; and setting that when the communication monitor recognizes the link of the ONU the OLT is determined as being normal, and when the link of the ONU cannot be recognized the OLT is determined as being abnormal.
