PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system and a game counter unit, which appropriately cope with a fraudulent act on a game counter unit.SOLUTION: A game counter unit CU includes a CU control section 323 and a security chip (SC) 325b, a value is deducted from the balance of a prepaid card, or is subtracted from the number of game balls in player's hand or the number of game balls deposited, and information requiring addition of the value equal to the amount of the deduction (number of game balls added) is transmitted from the game counter unit CU to a game machine P through a security chip SC. The security chip SC monitors the information requiring addition of the value (number of game balls added), and determines whether the information is correct or not (S231-S234). |
