PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, which can have improved low-fuel consumption performance and wear resistance while achieving excellent processability; and to provide a pneumatic tire produced using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a tire comprises: at least one selected from a group composed of natural rubbers and diene-based synthetic rubbers; an amphoteric compound having acidic and basic functional groups; and a surface-treated carbon black obtained by wet-crushing a carbon black in the presence of a dispersant and then subjecting the resultant carbon black to liquid phase oxidation. |
