摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control method and a shift control device for an electric vehicle by which a synchronization time for synchronizing the electric motor can be shortened and abnormal sounds due to backlash or the like between gears can be reduced.SOLUTION: A shift control method for an electric vehicle comprises: a clutch release step S2 in which the engagement of a clutch in the current gear position is released; a synchronization step S3 in which the synchronization is performed such that the rotation speeds of an outer race and an inner race of a clutch in a target gear position are synchronized to each other; and a clutch engagement step S4 in which the clutch in the target gear position is engaged by bringing a friction plate of the target gear position into contact with the outer race and controlling the rotation speed of an electric motor. After the engagement of the clutch in the current gear position is released in the clutch release step S2, when the rotation speed of the electric motor is controlled, the direction of the output torque of the electric motor is set either positive or negative according to a condition.
