PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high-pressure hydrogen and enable the use of a water level detection mechanism with an economical simple structure.SOLUTION: A water electrolysis system 10 includes: a water electrolysis device 12 which electrically decomposes water to generate oxygen and high-pressure hydrogen whose pressure is higher than the oxygen; a high-pressure gas/liquid separation device 22 which separates the high-pressure hydrogen derived by the water electrolysis device 12 into gas and liquid; a high-pressure drainage line 26 which discharges the high-pressure liquid water separated by the high-pressure gas/liquid separation device 22. The high-pressure drainage line 26 is provided with a first electromagnetic valve 92, an orifice 94, and a low-pressure gas/liquid separation device 96. The low-pressure gas/liquid separation device 96 is connected with a low-pressure drainage line 106 and the low-pressure drainage line 106 is provided with a second electromagnetic valve 108 capable of flowing a large amount of water more than the set amount of water flow through the orifice 94 when the low-pressure drainage line 106 opens. |
