METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COVER GLASS FOR ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing cover glass for an electric apparatus capable of improving dimensional accuracy of a glass substrate after chemical reinforcement.SOLUTION: A typical method of manufacturing cover glass for an electric apparatus includes: a shape processing step in which a glass raw plate 110 is processed into a glass substrate 100 whose shape is cover glass for an electric apparatus by machine processing; and chemical reinforcement processing step in which the glass substrate 100 is subjected to chemical reinforcement. In the chemical reinforcement processing step, based on the dimension of the glass substrate 100 prior to the chemical reinforcement processing step, the dimension of the glass substrate after the chemical reinforcement processing step chemically reinforces the glass substrate 100 under a chemical reinforcement conditions in which the dimension of the glass substrate after chemical reinforcement becomes a dimension required for the dimension of the cover glass for an electronic apparatus.
