The system (1) has an adjustable through-swingable hydraulic machine (2) i.e. axial piston machine, operated as a hydraulic pipe and mechanically and operatively connected to an internal combustion engine (6). The machine changes operation of an adjustable hydraulic motor (24) for driving a hydrostatic fan (28) and a hydraulic accumulator (18). The machine is connected with a power take-off part (4) of the combustion engine or an output of the combustion engine. A control valve (16) includes a pressure medium connection (P) between the machine and another hydraulic accumulator (38). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hydraulic system.
