<p>The present invention relates to a connector for a flexible cable which comprises: a first connector having a first housing in which a flexible cable having terminal parts is installed on the lower surface; and a second connector which is connected to the first connector and has connection terminals and a second housing, to which the connection terminals are inserted and fixed. The first housing includes a first terminal part side wall which is fitted between the terminal parts when the flexible cable with longitudinally cut portions between the terminal parts is fitted to the first housing from the rear part thereof, a first bottom wall which connects the lower ends of the first terminal part side wall and a first ceiling wall of the first terminal part which connects the upper ends of the first terminal part side wall, wherein the side wall of the first terminal part has a first stepped portion for supporting the flexible cable so as to position the flexible cable on the first ceiling wall when the terminal part of the flexible cable is inserted into a first through hole formed by the side wall, first bottom wall, and first ceiling wall of the first terminal part. The second housing has connection terminal installation portions which protrude from a second rear wall of the second housing to the front to be fitted to the first through hole and connection terminal installation grooves which are processed on the upper surface of the connection terminal installation portion and the second rear wall to hold the connection terminals inserted from the rear of the second housing.</p> |
