An apparatus for processing a digital moving picture and a control method therefor are provided to inform information about the disposal of the moving picture processing apparatus to a user in a preview mode when the user photographs the moving picture and rotate the photographed moving picture data easily. An image pickup unit(100) photographs a moving picture and generates input moving picture data. A memory(200) stores the input moving picture data. A digital signal processing unit(400) includes a rotation processing unit(450) and an icon generating unit(460). The rotation processing unit rotates the input moving picture data inputted from the memory and generates output moving picture data. The icon generating unit generates an icon for displaying the rotation of the input moving picture data. A storing unit(700) stores the output moving picture data. A display unit(800) displays the input moving picture data and the icon. |
