PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode using a porous metal collector, in which the vacancies of a collector composed of a porous metal can be filled with an electrode mixture containing an active material with high density.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an electrode that contains an electrode mixture containing an active material includes a step for impregnating the interior of a collector, having vacancies defined by a metal wall having pores for interconnecting the vacancies, with slurry produced by dispersing the electrode mixture into a solvent, and a step for filing the vacancies with the electrode mixture by drying the porous metal internally impregnated with slurry, thereby scattering and vaporizing the solvent. The grain size of the electrode mixture is equal to or less than a quarter of the circle equivalent diameter of the pore. |
