PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus capable of performing a high-quality display.SOLUTION: An electro-optical apparatus comprises a micro lens 23 and an opening part 73. The micro lens 23 has a lens central part 23c having a lens curved surface and a lens periphery 23l having a linear side surface. When the length of the side surface is expressed by L, the length of the opening part 73 is expressed by A, an angle formed by the normal line of the side surface and incident light to the micro lens 23 is expressed by &thetas;and an angle formed by the normal line and emission light from the micro lens 23 is expressed by &thetas;, the electro-optical apparatus satisfies the relational expression of the expression 3. Parallel light which is incident vertically with respect to the micro-lens 23 can be emitted to the opening part 73 and the incident light to the micro lens 23 is efficiently guided to the opening part 73. |
