PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress energy loss and stably stabilize a hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic chamber in a continuously variable transmission in which shift control is performed by hydraulic pressure.SOLUTION: A belt type continuously variable transmission 5 includes: a primary hydraulic chamber 32 provided in a primary pulley 10 generating thrust for pushing movable sheaves 12, 22 to fixed sheaves 11, 21; and a secondary hydraulic chamber 42 provided in a secondary pulley 20, wherein the primary hydraulic chamber 32 and the secondary hydraulic chamber 42 are communicated through oil paths 82, 83 forming a closed circuit. A preliminary hydraulic chamber 63 which sucks and discharges pressurized oil as its volume changes according to a deviation of change rates of the volumes of the hydraulic chambers 32, 42 is connected to the closed circuit. |
