PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive mechanism that achieves a size reduction in a simple configuration and able to select photographing magnification continuously in a variable power operation.SOLUTION: A lens moving mechanism is a lens drive mechanism that drives a variator 71 and a compensator 72 in the direction of the optical axis in a photographing optical system having the variator 71 and the compensator 72. The lens driving mechanism comprises: a cam follower 74 holding a variator 71; a cam follower 75 holding the compensator 72; a cam part 32 that contacts the cam followers 74, 75 during a variable power operation performed by the photographing optical system and moves the cam followers 74, 75 in the direction of the optical axis; a compression coil spring 79 that brings the cam followers 74, 75 into contact with the cam part 32 during a variable power operation; a vibrating body 10A that rotates and drives the cam part 32 during a variable power operation; and a vibrating body 10B that moves the cam follower 75 in the direction of the optical axis so as to separate the cam follower 75 from the cam part 32 during the focusing operation performed by the photographing optical system. |
