<p>This current sensor is provided with: a current path that is configured such that a current to be measured flows therein; first and second magnetoresistive elements, which are disposed with the current path therebetween; and first and second magnetic field generators, which respectively apply first and second bias magnetic fields to the first and second magnetoresistive elements, said first and second bias magnetic fields being in the direction matching the flowing direction of the current to be measured. The current sensor is configured to detect, on the basis of output signals of the first and the second magnetoresistive elements, the current to be measured. The first and second magnetoresistive elements respectively have first and second magnetoresistive bodies that are disposed along first and second planes parallel to the current path. The distance between the first plane and the current path is equal to the distance between the second plane and the current path. The current sensor has a small size, and is capable of accurately measuring the current flowing in the current path.</p> |
