PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and method, along with a program, capable of automatically determining whether or not a setting of paper is correct at low cost and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a positional displacement amount acquisition means 20; a positional displacement amount storage means 22; a paper setting acquisition means 24; a positional displacement characteristic storage means 26; a paper agreement determination means 28; and a notification means 30. The paper agreement determination means 28 verifies characteristics of the acquired positional displacement amount with the characteristics of the positional displacement corresponding to the paper set by a user, determines that the user's setting is not correct when both of them are not verified, each other, and causes the notification means 30 to give a notice. |
