PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control cooling capability by quickly detecting change in the amount of objects stored in a refrigerator (load fluctuation).SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes a cooling fan 10 for supplying chilled air to a housing chamber, and a calculation control part 14 which detects rotation speed of the cooling fan 10 or an input current value and arithmetically operates the detection result. The change in wind channel resistance caused by the objects stored therein is calculated from the rotation speed of the fan motor or the input current, for estimating the amount of objects. The change in the amount of objects stored in the refrigerator (load fluctuation) is quickly detected, to properly control cooling capability. The temperature of the objects is kept at an optimum state, while keeping freshness excellently. The objects can be prevented from being excessively cooled, to reduce power consumption. |
