PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for a brush excellent in touch feeling and excellent in bristle folding resistance, bristle opening resistance, and wearing resistance compared to a conventional bristle for a brush and brush using the same.SOLUTION: In a bristle material 1 for a brush comprising a cut bristle of polyester base synthetic resin monofilament, inherent viscosity IV of a polyester base synthetic resin included in the polyester base synthetic resin monofilament is in the range of 1.0 to 1.7, Young's modulus of the cut bristle is in the range of 2,200 to 9,500 N/mm2, the polyester base synthetic resing is polybutylene terephthalate, a taper part 2 is formed in at least one end of the cut bristle, when the length of the taper part is L(mm) and the diameter at a position of 1/3*L from the distal end is D(mm), the value of L/D is in the range of 45 to 110, as the further desirable condition. |
