PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color polarization imaging element and an imaging apparatus including a polarizer exhibiting a high polarization performance in entire visible light wavelength range.SOLUTION: The color polarization imaging element includes: a photosensitive cell array including plural photosensitive cell disposed along an imaging plane; a reflection type polarizer array including plural unit structures 500 disposed two-dimensionally, each of which includes N (N: an integer of three or more) reflection type polarizers 50 each having a different polarization transmission axis direction and being arranged so that the light is transmitted through one of the reflection type polarizer 50 into each of the photosensitive cells; and a color filter array comprising arranged plural color filters 60, through each of which the light of different colors transmits. Each of the reflection type polarizers 50 is a dielectric structure arranged to allow the incident light to enter into the photosensitive cell after being reflected two or more times. |
