PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a type of pattern one even if a plurality of methods for extracting and inserting codes are defined in the case where a clock error between a transmitting side and a receiving side is adjusted by extracting and inserting codes included in a pattern.SOLUTION: A transmitting device generates byte stream image data and inserts a pattern P8 in which a plurality of 8 bit codes of K codes are aligned into the generated image data at a predetermined interval. The transmitting device encodes the image data by an 8B/10B coding scheme to convert it into image data with 10-bit width. This image data includes a pattern P10 into which the pattern P8 was encoded at a predetermined interval. The pattern P10 is a pattern in which "K1," which is a first K code, and "K2," which is a second K code, are consecutively aligned in the order of K1, K2, K1, K2, K2, and K2. |
