The present invention relates to: a negative electrode for secondary batteries, which is capable of providing a secondary battery that has high reliability and excellent cycle characteristics; and a method for producing the negative electrode for secondary batteries. The present invention provides a negative electrode for secondary batteries, which comprises a collector, a negative electrode active material layer and a porous film, and wherein: the negative electrode active material layer contains a negative electrode active material and a particulate polymer for negative electrodes; the porous film contains non-conductive particles and non-particulate crosslinked polymer for porous films; and the non-conductive particles are particles of a polymer which has a structural unit formed by polymerizing a (meth)acrylate in an amount of 50% by weight or more and has a softening starting temperature or decomposition temperature of 175°C or more. The present invention also provides a method for producing the negative electrode for secondary batteries. |
