A system and a method for offering background sound or background video for reading are provided to enable a mobile communication terminal device to recognize a motion of a reader turning out pages of a book, and then offer background sound or background video corresponding to contents of each page of the book. An ID tag(10) is attached on a part of a book to store ID information of the book. A background effect server(20) stores background sound or background video corresponding to contents of each page of the book associated with the ID information of the ID tag. The background effect server outputs the background sound or the background video corresponding to the page of the book. A mobile communication terminal device(30) is connected to the background effect server in a wireless data communication type. The mobile communication terminal device transmits the ID information of the ID tag and a start page of the book, and then transmits a motion image obtained by photographing the reading motion of a reader or a message resulting from readout of the motion image. The mobile communication terminal device downloads and outputs the background sound or the background video transmitted from the background effect server. |
