PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of easily detecting breakage at an end in the width direction of an endless belt without requiring a large space at the outer surface of the endless belt.SOLUTION: There is provided an image heating device which comprises: a heating belt 105; an IH heater 170 for heating the heating belt; an IH power source 171 for supplying power to the IH heater; a current fuse 169 for stopping power supply to the IH power source; and a belt breakage detection mechanism 190 for detecting breakage at one end side in the width direction of the heating belt 105, wherein the belt breakage detection mechanism is swingable around the swing center and comprises: a swinging arm 191 which is electrically grounded; a biasing member 194 for biasing the swinging arm so that one end of the swinging arm comes into contact with an inner face near one end in the width direction of the heating belt; and a detection switch 195 which is provided between the current fuse and the IH power source and contacts with the other end of the swinging arm according to the displacement of one end of the swinging arm to the outer face side from the heating belt. |
