The invention relates to a lock for a door, window or similar with a lock case (1) and a lock mechanism mounted in said lock case (1) with a bolt (3) which is mounted so as to be throwable and retractable and/or a spring-mounted throwable and retractable latch (2). To provide improved protection against intrusion, the body of the bolt (3) has at least one external surface which extends along the direction of movement of the throwing and retracting motion and has a constant surface profile along this extension direction, which profile is formed to be uneven in the direction transverse to the direction of movement with at least one peak and at least one trough. Embodiments in which all the external surfaces extending in the direction of movement of the throwing and retracting motion have a wave structure are particularly preferred. |
