An indication method and device for a measurement parameter. The indication method for a measurement parameter includes: a base station of a serving cell acquiring the frequency band usage information about neighbour cells of the serving cell; according to the frequency band used by itself and the acquired frequency band usage information about each neighbour cell, the base station of the serving cell determining a measurement parameter of a mobile station which accesses the base station of the serving cell, wherein the measurement parameter includes measurement frequency points and a measurement bandwidth at each of the measurement frequency points; and the base station of the serving cell indicating the measurement parameter towards the mobile station which accesses the base station of the serving cell. The method and device of the present invention can improve bandwidth measurement flexibility and measurement accuracy.
