The lock structure (1) has lock housing (2) in which lock chamber (3) is formed. The lock housing is provided with inlet (4) which is formed towards combustion chamber and outlet. A feeding device (6) is provided with an intermediate storage area (7) and a scanning area (8). The intermediate storage area is formed between inlet and outside of lock chamber. The scanning area is formed upstream of intermediate storage area. A sensor device (9) is provided for scanning the scanning area of projecting fuel material. An independent claim is included for a method for supplying firewood.
