The method involves performing a sequence of two or multiple receiving frames with different phases for distance determination. Light propagation time pixels (P1-P4) are combined to a pixel block (PB) in a pixel block operation. Propagation time relevant signals of the pixel block are buffered in selection circuits (400.1-400.4) associated with the receiving frames and read in an end of the sequence, where the selection circuits comprise storages (410.1-410.3) for storage of distance-relevant signals. An independent claim is also included for a light propagation time sensor.
