The head (2) has a fixed funnel type-hub carrier (3) on which a driven-side wheel hub (7) is rotatably supported by wheel bearings (5, 6). The wheel hub connects an upstream of a wheel hub gear box. A drive shaft (16) is conductible linked into the hub carrier from a drive side. The hub carrier has a flange (17) fastened by the hub carrier on an axle housing (1). A wheel gear (11) i.e. planetary gear, is drivingly connected with a shaft end (26) at a driving end, where the shaft end forms a connector socket (27) that is rotatably inserted into the drive shaft for coupling the gear box.
