PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a liquid crystal display device whose mechanical strength of a multilayer spacer is strong and which is suitable for creation of the multi-gap in a color filter having a transparent protective film and the multilayer spacer.SOLUTION: On one surface of a transparent substrate 1, a color filter for a liquid crystal display device comprises: a black matrix layer 2, a plurality of colored layers 3, 4, 5 and a multilayer spacer 7. The multilayer spacer 7 is formed by laminating the plurality of colored layers 3, 4, 5 and a transparent protective film 6 on a predetermined position of the black matrix layer 2 in this order, and further by laminating the colored layer 5 on the top layer. |
