PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit which can determine a connection state between an output terminal of the own unit and an external battery.SOLUTION: In a power unit, when a voltage of a voltage terminal 502 to which a voltage is applied from an external low-voltage battery 6 to be connected to an output terminal 501 is higher than a predetermined voltage, that is, when activation is instructed to a control circuit 52 from the outside, the control circuit 52 is activated and compares a voltage of the output terminal 501 and a predetermined threshold value for determination and notifies an external power supply ECU 7 of a power supply connection abnormality signal when the voltage of the output terminal 501 is not higher than the predetermined threshold value. Alternatively, the control circuit 52 successively compares a voltage difference detected every 250 milliseconds, for example, between a voltage of the output terminal 501 and a voltage of the voltage terminal 502 with a second threshold value for determination, and notifies the external power supply ECU 7 of the power supply connection abnormality signal when the voltage difference is larger than the second threshold value. |
