PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, an information processing method, a program, recording medium, and an information processing system in which an operation screen for performing an operation related with the control of an image formation device can be provided by an application with high degree of freedom.SOLUTION: The apparatus connected to a terminal device through a network includes the means of: transferring a program which displays an operation screen for performing the operation of the apparatus on a screen of the terminal device to the terminal device; acquiring information on a plurality of applications installable in the apparatus from a plurality of storage areas when an instruction from the operation screen displayed by the program is received; and displaying a list of the applications selectably on the operation screen of the terminal device on the basis of the acquired information, receiving the application selected from the storage area corresponding to the application selected through the operation screen, and installing the application.
