PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of associating a power tap with an electric device connected to the power tap without using a remote control device having a specific configuration.SOLUTION: A service server 10 acquires a tap ID of a power tap 40 to which an electric device 30 is connected, measurement results of an amount of electric power supplied via the power tap 40, and an operation signal transmitted by a remote control device 20 when the electric device 30 performs a remote operation (S1 to S5). The service server 10 also identifies a type of the electric device 30 matching characteristic information of the operation signal acquired as a result of verification with a database storing characteristic information of an operation signal per electric device. In addition, the service server 10 writes the device ID of the identified electric device in the database in association with the acquired ID on the basis of the timing at which the operation signal is acquired and the timing at which a prescribed change occurs in the amount of electric power in the acquired measurement results.
