PURPOSE: A system for an adaptive streaming service and a method thereof are provided to be effectively interconnected with a content management server, a transcoder, and a data center. CONSTITUTION: An original file receiving part (320) receives an original content file stored in a storage server based on a content list. A control part (330) stores the original file or a transport stream (TS) file of the original file in a watch folder which a transcoder and a segmenter (340) can refer to. If content files which are encoded for each bit rate included in conversion information are generated, the segmenter generates TS segments for each content file.
