PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device adjusting a refresh cycle, a memory system, and an operation method thereof.SOLUTION: A semiconductor memory device includes: a refresh control circuit that outputs m refresh control signals (where m is a natural number greater than 1) for one refresh cycle; an address counter that generates a counting signal for refreshing memory cells; and an address conversion unit that receives the counting signal, responds to a cycle selection signal, and performs conversion of the counting signal, so as to output a refresh address. Output of the refresh address by the address conversion unit allows the number of "m" refresh control signals to be varied for one refresh cycle. |
