PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving storage method for hot water, configured to reduce caloric value consumed by a heating device, in a water heater equipped with reheating function, and to provide a hot water storage type water heater which employs the method.SOLUTION: In an energy-saving storage method with a hot water storage type water heater 10, the water discharged from a lower part is heated at the heating device 11 and returned to an upper part for boiling, and hot water is supplied through a reheating circuit 15 from an upper part of the hot water storage tank 12 in which water is supplied from its lower part, for reheating the hot water in a bath tub 14. The return water of the reheating circuit 15 is made to flow into a high temperature layer formed downward from the upper part of the hot water storage tank 12, to prevent increase in temperature of a low temperature layer which is located below the high temperature layer in the hot water storage tank 12 and received from the lower part of the storage tank 12 to be supplied to the heating device 11. |
