PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop backup in a short period of time in an emergency.SOLUTION: In a backup system, a host-side disk array device 200 includes: a cache memory 209; and panel buttons 501 to each of which a pair group number indicating correspondence to a logical disk is added and each of which has a display function in which the button lights yellow when a copy pair group is defined, it lights blue when copy definition is completed, and the light of the button is extinguished in an unused state. The backup system executes: a first step in which when an arbitrary panel button is pressed, a pair release command for the pair group number of the pressed panel button is transmitted to a backup-side disk array device 300; a second step in which a self-status is caused to transition to a state where release of a duplexed pair ends; a third step in which cache data is deleted; and a fourth step in which a button switch for which the pair has been released is turned off. |
