PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an inverted type suspension device in which a relief valve can be eliminated, thus suppressing insufficiency of damping force on a compression side.SOLUTION: An inverted type suspension device is provided with: a hollow pipe 10 which is connected to an outer tube 1 and moves in and out from an inner tube 2; a rod 21 which is connected to the inner tube 2 and moves in and out from the hollow pipe 10; a reservoir first chamber r1, an extension side first chamber a1 and a compression side first chamber b1 which are formed outside of the hollow pipe 10 and are partitioned by a wall partition body 20 and a first piston 11; a reservoir second chamber r2 and a compression side second chamber b2 which are formed inside the hollow pipe 10 and are partitioned by a second piston 22; an extension side second chamber a2 which is formed between the outer tube 1 and an overlapping portion of the inner tube 2 and expands/contracts due to extension/contraction of the suspension device; and a second damping flow passage M2 for connecting the compression side chamber B (b1+b2) and a reservoir R (r1+r2). The cross-sectional area X1 of the extension side second chamber a2 is greater than the cross-sectional area X2 of the hollow pipe 10. |
