PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a corner part, to improve torsional stiffness, to stabilize assembly accuracy, to improve an effective utilization rate of a blank, and to reduce cost, in a sheet metal type cross member fastened to a web surface of a side member.SOLUTION: A cross member for a vehicle body frame includes cross member flange fastening surfaces 6, 7 extended to cross-sectional inner sides from ends in a vehicle width direction of cross member flange surfaces 3, 4, and a cross member web fastening surface 8 extended to a cross-sectional outer side from an end in the vehicle width direction of a cross member web surface 2, wherein the cross member web surface 2, the cross member flange surfaces 3, 4, the cross member flange fastening surfaces 6, 7 and the cross member web fastening surface 8 are integrally shaped by folding a single sheet material, and connection parts 12 between the cross member web fastening surface 8 and the cross member flange fastening surfaces 6, 7 are folded back at 180° and superposed on each other. |
