This film capacitor is provided with a first and second electrode layer, and a dielectric film arranged between the first and second electrode layer. The dielectric film contains primarily a styrene-based polymer of a syndiotactic structure. The first electrode layer comprises multiple first small electrode parts, and first fuses connecting the first small electrode parts. The quotient of the surface area of each of the first small electrode parts divided by the cube of the film thickness of the dielectric film is 0.4×1013/m to 5.0×1013/m. This film capacitor has high voltage resistance. |
