The power tool rammer (10a) is provided with racket (12a) and shock damping unit (14a). The shock damping unit made of elastomer damps the racket, and enables multi-stage attenuation. The damping unit has contact surfaces (16a,18a) that are staggered with respect to axial direction (20a).
