PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of controlling light intensity with high accuracy by reducing main scanning jitter using a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a light source which emits laser light, a main scanning diaphragm 7 for shaping the laser light, a beam splitter 8 which splits the laser light into reflected light and transmitted light, a rotary polygon mirror 10 which deflects the transmitted light to allow the same to scan on a photosensitive member, an imaging lens 21 which directs the transmitted light deflected by the rotary polygon mirror 10 toward the photosensitive member, an optical sensor 9 which receives the reflected light, and a system control unit 101 which controls intensity of laser light emitted by the light source on the basis of the intensity of the reflected light received by the optical sensor 9. The main scanning diaphragm 7 is located between a scanning area of the transmitted light deflected by the rotary polygon mirror 10, between the rotary polygon mirror 10 and the imaging lens 21, and the optical sensor 9. The beam splitter 8 is provided between the rotary polygon mirror 10 and the main scanning diaphragm 7 and is positioned by being abutted against the main scanning diaphragm 7. |
