PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a sheet by sucking it without generating wrinkles on the sheet.SOLUTION: A conveyance device comprises: a suction area VA1 which is formed at a flank 33 for conveying a sheet by sucking it, and sucks the entire face of the sheet via a plurality of sucking holes 33h which are formed at the circumferential entire face of a support face for supporting the sheet; a plurality of suction parts VA1k, VA1m, VA1h which divide the suction area into the circumferential direction; a sheet roller 51 for elongating the sheet while oppositely contacting with the sheet; and a suction switching part which disconnects the connection of a negative pressure source and the respective suction parts VA1k, VA1m, VA1h, and connects the plurality of suction parts VA1k, VA1m, VA1h to the negative pressure source sequentially from the suction part VA1k at a downstream side to the suction part VA1h at an upstream side of the rotation direction of the flank 33 accompanied by the rotation of the flank 33. The suction switching part starts the suction of the suction part VA1h at the most downstream side at timing at which the suction part VA1k at the most downstream side passes through that sheet roller. |
