<p>This variable capacity compressor comprises: a housing; a piston; a drive shaft rotatably supported by the housing; a rotor that rotates in unison with the drive shaft; a swash plate that rotates in synchronism with the rotation of the rotor coupled via a coupling means; a conversion mechanism that converts the rotation of the swash plate into a reciprocating motion of the piston; and a pressure control valve that is capable of controlling the internal pressure of a crank chamber. The variable capacity compressor is characterized in that the swash plate is coupled with the rotor in an inclined fashion such that, as viewed from a site on the swash plate corresponding to the top dead center position of the piston, a compression-stroke-side region toward the positive direction of the rotation of the swash plate is farther away from the bearing surface of a thrust bearing, which is formed on the rotor, than a suction-stroke-side region toward the negative direction of the rotation of the swash plate. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a variable capacity compressor in which the wearing of parts in contact between a through hole in the swash plate and the outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft can be suppressed and in which the swash plate can be inclined smoothly.</p> |
