The present invention relates to a method for transmitting content using a content-specific identifier including the steps of: (a) a delivery node receiving a request for content from a client; (b) the delivery node transmitting URL information for the content included in the request to a master node; (c) the delivery node receiving the URL information for the content and information about the unique identifier from the master node, and determining whether the content is stored in the delivery node in reference to the information on the received content-specific identifier; and (d) the delivery node receiving the content from the master node and transmitting the content to the client when the content is determined to be stored in the delivery node.
