APPARATUS FOR ALLOCATING FREQUENCY IN MULTI-HOP NETWORKS AND METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus for allocating frequency in a multi-hop network and a method using the same are provided to improve a data throughput by alternately performing a normal mode and a relay mode for transmitting/receiving data by using different resources within a single time period. A reference group setting unit(410) sets three adjacent cells as a single reference group. A sector frequency allocating unit(420) allocates frequency to each sector constituting the cells corresponding to the reference group. A repeater frequency allocating unit(430) allocates frequency different from one frequency among the sectors to each repeater corresponding to one of the sectors so that frequencies allocated to each repeater are different. The reference group setting unit sets the three cells such that only one sector constituting each of the plurality of cells constituting a multi-hop network is adjacent to each other.
