PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal that facilitates enlarging or contracting a display target with one-hand operation.SOLUTION: A portable telephone 10 includes a display 14 and a touch panel 16 provided on the display 14. When an arc with a central angle equal to or greater than a threshold is drawn when image such as a character and a photograph are displayed on the display 14, it is determined that the display can be enlarged or contracted. When the arc or a spiral is drawn in a right direction in this condition, the image displayed on the display 14 is enlarged. When the arc or a spiral is drawn in a left direction, the image displayed on the display 14 is contracted.
