PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured so that even if the power supply voltage of a sub control section is abnormally fluctuated, when a series of image forming processing is performed by using a main control section and the sub control section, image forming processing is normally performed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a main control section 204 including a backup RAM 203 and a CPU 202, a laser scanner portion 205, a register 207, a RAM 208, and a power supply monitoring section 211. When a power supply voltage of the laser scanner portion 205 becomes lower than a prescribed voltage, operation condition data of the register 207 and the RAM 208 is reset by the power supply monitoring section 211 and the main control section 204 detects abnormality of the power supply voltage of the laser scanner control portion 205. When the operation condition data of the register 207 and the RAM 208 is reset before print processing is started, the CPU 202 reads the operation condition data from a ROM 210 and performs resetting to the register 207 and the RAM 208. |
