PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable card, such as an ID card, an information card and a payment card, which has an electric circuit that transitions from one mode to another in response to user instruction.SOLUTION: Provide is a portable card 10, such as a credit card, having therein electronics, such as a processor 12 and a deformable switching element or sensor 14, where the deformation or bending of the sensor/switch 14 is used for determination for controlling the electronics. In one aspect, the sensor 14 is a piezo element, and the bending of the piezo element provides power for bringing the processor 12 out of a sleep mode. |
