PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure water vapor sterilization method, capable of obtaining a sterilized article in which adhesion of moisture and defects of solid foreign objects are effectively prevented in a short period of time without requiring a large volume of energy.SOLUTION: A high-pressure water vapor sterilization method is for obtaining a sterilized object by exposing an object to be sterilized such as a medical article to a high-temperature and high-pressure water vapor environment and sterilizing the object to be sterilized with water vapor. The object to be sterilized is enclosed inside a microorganism-impermeable package material having a water vapor permeable part at least in a part to form a package body. The object to be sterilized is pre-heated to 50-110°C before exposing the object to be sterilized to high-temperature and high-pressure water vapor, and after that, high-temperature and high-pressure water vapor is introduced into the package body from the water-vapor permeable part of the package material to sterilize the object to be sterilized with high-pressure water vapor. The high-pressure water vapor sterilization method is characterized by obtaining the package body with the sterilized object enclosed in the microorganism-impermeable package material by sterilizing the object to be sterilized with high-pressure water vapor. |
